Dr. Aslıhan Akpınar (PhD of History of Medicine and Ethics) was born in 1977, Ankara, where she completed her primary and secondary education. In 1998 she graduated from philosophy department of Uludag University with BA degree. She had her master’s (2005) and PhD (2012) degrees from History of Medicine and Ethics Department of Kocaeli University. She was also a research assistant at the same department in 2004-2011.
Dr. Akpınar is a lecturer at History of Medicine and Ethics Department at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine since May 2012. Her academic and research interests are end of life issues, justice in medicine, ethical aspects of medical genetics, physician patient relationship, and Turkish history of medicine
